Another Wednesday, another round of MFK.
The game is simple: We’ve all played a round of ”M.F.K” — the game where you take three names and decide which ones you would marry like Jagged Edge, fugg like Trent Reznor, or kill like Poe? Well this is exactly the same, except with music.
I’ll give you three songs that have been floating around out there, and all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell tell me which one you’d marry, which one you’d take home and get freaky-deaky with, and which one you’d make sleep with the fishes.
Last week things were a little too euro-poppy for a lot of people’s tastes, and that’s gonna happen sometimes if you always leave the song choice up to me — so here’s where you can help: If there’s a track you heard and you kinda like it, or you seriously love it, or you absolutely HATE IT — find a YouTube of it and email me the link and I’ll do my best to post it up here (btw, that can also include tracks of your own making — hint, hint).
In fact, one of today’s songs comes from a reader submission — and it’s a good one, if I do say so myself.
But in honor of that London gathering of sexy people for Cher to look at and post pictures of (where some Olympic sporting events might also be taking place) — I wanted to make sure that this week’s post had a bit of international flavor to it. So in addition to the reader submitted song from the UK, we’ve got a little underground rap from Korea, and of course a strong representative for team USA that you might just recognize when you hear her voice.

I've had PSY's video on repeat for 2 weeks!! The dancing kid, Jaesuk dancing in all yellow, the fake snow, Hong Chul thrusting in the elevator, PSY's slick moves and the grand ability to not give a single fugg…I LOVE everything about this.
It's one of those cases where I have to wonder how much I'd like the song if I hadn't seen the video first. I mean, I dig the vibe (something about Korean hip-hop is just endlessly fun to me), but the video just takes it to an entirely different level.

Ooooh, my second favorite BOF couple.
(M) Broke up the Family. That groove has stuck with me all day.
And while I can't get enough of the PSY video, I feel like I need the video (in that particular case) to really keep me invested in the song. It's a fun track and all, but I could easily see wearing out on it after a while (F).
And this is why this game is rough — because while I don't necessarily hate that Alicia Keys track, (and am excited that she's back on the scene), the track itself doesn't really have much to offer outside of the beats by Dre (see what I did there?).
I bet the album is gonna be good, but this one song doesn't really do all that much for me, so (K).
Marry: PSY Gagnam Style. Love hearing PSY rap and this video always puts a smile on my face.
F: The Milk Broke up the Family. It was pretty interesting.
Kill: Alicia Keys is usually a hit or miss with and this one is definitely a miss.
i would marry the ish out of milk's broke up my family. it's like one of those songs to get amped to before you do anything, even better if it's an ass kicking. however, psy would be that faithful, secret sidepiece for 20 years when i need a break from the married life.
they were neck in neck for me, but it was like which one would keep me going long term lol
alicia keys' new single is f-able for like the first few times, the piano riff/hook is ok along with the beat (ha! i got it!! took me a minute lol). but i would have to kill it because the song sounds lazy to me. the lyrics feel like they're trying desperately to flow and make sense. one letter takes up most of the chorus? it's like that date that wouldn't shut up.

Long-time lurker, first-time commenter here. I logged in for the sole purpose of commenting on The Milk's "Broke Up The Family". Almost can't believe my ears! I'd not only M and F them, but probably K *for* them as well. Gotta confess I went on a YouTube hunt for more after watching the above and I'm officially a diehard fan now.
M: The Milk — Broke Up the Family; I like the song, and it can get regular/semi-regular burn on my phone.
F: Park Jae Sang (PSY) – Gangnam Style; Only cuz this shyt had me in stitches. I'm not a fan of the genre.
K: Alicia Keyes — New Day; TOO MANY GODDAMN "A"s & I don't like the…formulaic, narrow note range singing she's doing, or the ho-hum production.
Sidebar: It sounds like PSY's saying "Open Condom Star".
It took me a while to convince myself that he wasn't saying "Condom" too, even if it is funnier that way.
