For like two weeks I've double-clutched on posting a Slayer cover song that I really like. I feel your pain here brother but this is about public opinion and debate, not necessarily just songs I like (or at least that will be true until the next Periphery album drops).
I actually have a lot of respect for Maroon 5, and have always considered the Milk to be riding on their tails — but I really like the juxtaposition of the soul sound in with that Adam Levine school of pop. Given the choice, I prefer how raw the milk get when they're live.
Just my 2 cents though.

You won't be that guy alone. I actually thought The Milk song was nice (Idris… meh), but for everything else… I am 100% with your assessment. That was some wrist slittin' music there. Out of my great respect for Hex I've listen to the Big Boss Hogg Rick Ross 2x now. And my life is sadder for it. And as for Hype Williams… if he got shot instead of Biggie I wouldn't have complained. That was horrible.
