Wednesday’s back, which means it’s time for MFK!

We’ve all played the “M.F.K” game before — where you take three names and decide which ones you’d marry, which one gets the drawls, and which one gets murdered? Well this is exactly the same, except with music. I give you three songs, and all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell tell me which one you love enough to marry, which one you just want to get naked with for a little while, and which one sleeps with the fishes.
Of course, we’re always looking for reader submissions — so if there’s a track you heard and you kinda like it, or you seriously love it, or you absolutely HATE IT — find a YouTube and email me the link and I’ll post it up here as soon as I can.
And that’s exactly what we’ve got this week. As some of you might remember, my brother Lurkasaur got so fed up with fake prison guards and white girl country singers last Wednesday that he up and sent me a weeks worth of music links all by hisself.

And just let me say for the record since I’m basically blood with the guy — that if you’re ever wanting to talk great music or hear it played with a sizzling guitar, there are few out there who do it better than the big man. You can be sure whenever I discover something new and loud in metal he’s one of the first people I email it to — but he’s equally versed in old skool jams, real hip-hop, and even Korean music. Tons of range here, so he didn’t really need to TRIPLE-DAWG DARE me to post these songs — but he did anyways, because he’s a snapperhead.
Check out his selections, open your mind, and let your ass follow. And remember — even if you like the songs, you HAVE TO CHOOSE.
Let’s get to it!
COTM — “Dad Life”
Funkadelic — Cholly (Funk Getting Ready to Roll)
The Wonder Girls – Like This

Married Funkadelic
The Wonder Girls got the panty drawls…
R.I.P COTM
Maybe it's just my bias showing, but I'm thinking George Clinton is gonna have a lot of new wives by the time this is all over
M: Funkadelic — Cholly (Funk Getting Ready to Roll) – (Reluctantly tho…the Funk ain't really movin' me that much.)
F: COTM — “Dad Life” – (DAWG….LMMFAO I fuxwit this!!!!)
K: The Wonder Girls – Like This – (I'm not a fan of crap like this, whether it's here or abroad.)
I'm hoping the man himself logs in to comment — because as we all know there was plenty of P-Funk/Funkadelic/Parliament to choose from, so I'm very curious to what drew him to this particular track.
Hydrangeas (what), Begonias (naw), Crape Myrtle (tight), ORNAMENTAL TURTLE!!!
M : Funkadelic only as it is the leftover, I did not enjoy it as much as I though I would
F: COTM Men taking care of responsibilities is a huge turn on
K: Wonder Girls I mean I love just about all music but this repetitive shyt is annoying though I will say ol girl in the pink dress and cropped white shirt is hella cute
yeahhh i peeped her also… :: sucking teeth like a dirty old man :: got a lil jiggle on her in the titty-boobs….
Maaaaaaan the dad life is MY LIIIIIIFE!!!!!!!!!
I AM that black dude in the yard!!!!!
If those dancey-ass dancey korean girls are of age, actually girls and can not snitch… they can get it.
M: Funkadelic
F: Korean girls (it's catchy)
K: COTM – meh
Now this is all from just listening – I rarely watch the videos
The Wonder Girls (who happen to be Korean) were a lot more catchy than I was expecting. Reminded me a little bit of Namie Amuro's stuff — which is fantastic.
M: COTM
F: Funkadelic
K: Korean Girls…. after we F though
The Wonder Girls, meh. But I'm a bigamist today, I'm marrying Funkadelic and COTM.
I always keep two of them around for conversation, you know what I mean? See if there ever ends up being any, I don't gotta be involved. Fuhgettaboutit!!
M: Wondergirls
F: COTM
I wouldn't really kill the Funkadelics, but I was not feeling that song.
Marry-COTM I could get a lot of things done around here with them around.
Boff- Wonder Girls…unless they have a peen. You know at least one or two would be suspect.
Kill-Funkadelic. I thought about boffing them, but then decided they'd prolly try to get me to smoke weed and then try try to stick it in my butt.
You thought Funkadelic would probably try to get you smoke weed?
..have you met Funkadelic?
Boff- Wonder Girls…unless they have a peen. You know at least one or two would be suspect.
Let's just ask Slaus which ones he finds the most attractive…and avoid them
u aint never lied…. that's why you'd never find me with an asian side-chick… i don't trust em anymore
COTM needs to pay homage:

Where my motherfathers at!!
Snapperhead? dang…
ANYway, to me, these three songs were a test of sorts.
COTM: well-done humor. This one is a direct response to the prison guard whom I will not dignify with a stolen nom de plume. I'd even suggest that this song is MORE legitimate than last week's offering from the fat bastid, because I'd bet that at least two of those dudes in this video are actually fathers. This, by the way, is why I have almost no truck with "gangsta" rap, because I'm from Detroit and I know real gangstas…some of 'em are blood relatives…and ain't none of 'em livin' the kind of life represented on gangsta rap albums and in videos. Matter of fack, most of the o-g's I know can barely string a gat-dam sentence together, let alone rhyme 'em…
I've never met Slaus personally, but when I saw that dark-skinned heffalump braggin' about his garden in this video, I saw more real life than anything ol' gravy-sweatin' fat-azz has lied about.
Wonder Girls: cutesy, easy-to-bounce-to K-Pop. The best K-Pop blatantly rips off American R&B/hip-hop/rap (the bassline in this track coulda come from a Ciara joint) and these girls do it as good as anyone over here. If you dig 'em, check out 2NE1.
Funkadelic: Lookit. As Hex has already deduced, why did I choose this particular track from the depths of my encyclopedic knowledge of all things George Clinton?
To me, this was the funk test.
It would have been easy to drop a track like Chocolate City, or Red Hot Mama, or Bop Gun, or Bootzilla, or any of the peak tracks in this particular mountain range…but I went off-script and dug up a B-side (for those old enough to know, that's where this particular gem was lurking on the original album) that, to me, sums up Funkadelic: tight harmonies, loopy bass, solid bottom end, and a polyrhythmic mix of instrumental riffs that, somewhere in the middle, create The Funk.
To me, The Funk does not hapen in the music, but behind it somewhere, in the spaces, much like the way that Miles Davis' horn solos play spaces. The Funk can be busy, but is never cluttered (this is why we remember Prince more favorably than, say, either Jesse Johnson or Chuckii Booker…Johnson and Booker were undeniably talented and certainly wanted to make you move, but Prince had than innate ability to let funk breathe).
This particular Funkadelic track does all that. Garry Shider sang the lead ("I was strung out on Bach, and Beethoven was my thing…"), Bootsy laid down the bass, Walter "Junie" Morrison (from the Ohio Players) put down the keys with Bernie Worrell, and BLAM. Underground classic…
Oh, and if you watch the "Unsung" documentary on Bootsy Collins, it'll give you a whole 'nother reason to love the hook in Parliament's Let's Play House when they yell "Gimme The Music!"
funk…gettin' ready to roll, funk gettin' ready to roll…
"I saw more real life than anything ol' gravy-sweatin' fat-azz has lied about. "
:: socks you :::
Marry, have an affair with, divorce, marry again – Funkadelic considering how I was raised on them I really can't not love them…its against my religion lol
F the other 2 the wonder girls catchy as hell…COTM hilarious!
