Wed. Edition Of – Damn Nature… You Gangsta As Hale!!!

Awww.. looka here. I’m sorry I ate yo momma’s azz…but we can still be friends right? I will raise you as my own….until I want to eat yo azz too… but still.

Stunning photos shot by a Dutch nature photographer show a fierce lioness getting cuddly with a baby antelope — moments after she finished feasting on the tiny creature’s mother.

Photographer Adri De Visser, 50, took the snaps in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda, after travelling to the scene to shoot a few lions feeding on a kill.

“When I got there, I saw the lionesses feeding on a Uganda kob’s (antelope’s) carcass,” he told Britain’s Daily Mail.

“I followed them for a while and they went up a tree to rest from the sun,” he said. “I was watching them when I heard a noise. It was the kob’s fawn that had been hiding in the long grass.”

De Visser said the cat eyed the antelope tyke for about 45 minutes but never pounced, even as the helpless little calf crawled between her legs “like it was trying to get its milk.”

“I shall name you… Numsee!”

Suddenly, the rumble of a park ranger’s motorcycle frightened the beasts, the shutterbug said.

“So the lioness picked the fawn up by the neck and carried it off like one of its own,” he said.

“We heard from a group of tourists that the fawn was later spotted alive and well.”

Let’s bounce….

  1. I feel like picking up my son from the neck sometimes, but not as nicely as this.

  2. The lioness was full. The fawn is the "doggie bag" that will be consumed as a midnight snack after the Lioness has toked and gets the munchies.

i saw something like this on animal planet before while it was still about the animals. a lioness took in a baby gazelle, but this lioness was a loner and her maternal instinct was strong. but the baby ended up being killed because she wandered into another pride's territory. i wonder how this mom and fawn will fare

  4. This reminded me of Kill Bill after the Bride kills Vivica.

  5. psssh… who 'gone check her though

*Puts on Nat/Geo hat* That Timon and Pumbaa thang doesn't work. She was full and decided to take home a doggie bag. The little one hasn't had it's "Run, bytch, run" kick in yet, and is use to hiding in tall brush till Mama comes back. She didn't last the week. See, the Circle of Life doesn't look as pretty as Sir Elton sings it.
