A Cleveland bus driver has been suspended following the surfacing of an online viral video depicting him viciously punching a female passenger, transit officials told FoxNews.com.
The 94-second video — posted on WorldstarHipHop.com and on YouTube.com — begins with an unidentified woman shouting obscenities at the bus driver. The woman then appears to strike the bus driver, who gets up from his seat and approaches her before landing a brutal uppercut that knocks the woman down.
Just before the haymaker is thrown, someone can be heard saying on the video: “You going on the ground now.”
The bus driver then physically removes the woman and her pink jacket from the bus. She then reboards the bus, where the two briefly continue scuffling as passengers try to end the melee.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. I've read some of your other comments and your opinion is your opinion, but if you attack a man, you deserve to be hit back. It's basic to me, if you swing on someone, no matter what gender, then you should expect to be swung on. Also, it is a generalization that men are stronger than women…join the military, you'll see why. I've been with men who just hit women for no reason other than their own shortcomings…this is not the case.
Additionally, women nowadays have this misnomer that a "Real Man" (a term which is so subjective that is gives me giggles) won't hit you back if you hit him…but you can't have it both ways. If you step up like a man, get knocked down like a man. A "Real Woman" wouldn't put her hands on anyone and would use her words, but I see that was just glossed over. I've read other reports of this incident and it's been revealed that she isn't a child, she's 25. Witnesses stated in their police reports that she appeared intoxicated, struck the driver and attempted to strangle him while he was driving, thereby putting everyone on the bus and in traffic around them in danger. And not only did she hit him first, but she also spit in his face. I'm sorry, but gender goes out the window when you put your hands on someone. I'd like to see anyone give a damn about their attacker's age or gender after being spat upon. There's a woman walking around right now with partial dentures because she found out the hard way what happens when someone spits on me.

Yeah, that is one of those situations where the sister is not going to be satisfied until she can add "…and then I jumped all over that fool…" to the story she plans to tell about it. Its unfortunate, but some folks can only accept that a a conflict is over after they give the first/last hit. That brother did everything a "real man" is supposed to do, including protect himself when the people around him and the authorities couldn't.
My issue with this video is the fact that it looked like a teacher was standing right next to the girl during this at some point she should have tried to guide her away and someone should have called school security or something.

Why is it that everyone says "No man ever has a reason to hit a woman."? I understand right and wrong perfectly. That situation had TWO wrongs and multiple wrongs watching and not stopping it until it was too late. I understand that talking is just words, but once she went to spitting and punching, her actions backed up the threats, he reacted terribly. No shocks, no "I wonder where THAT came from". She's lucky he didn't follow it with a Ha Do Ken. It was an all around bad situation she probably won't learn from, and he'll probably have to sue the city that doesn't protect him from those situations. I feel sorry for both of them.
I agree he had options, and that she did bring it on herself no matter what. One one end, reports are saying she was just a teen, while others are saying she was a woman. So I'm not calculating age, especially since those titties are big enough to let me know she's at least old enough to know right from wrong.
What I can't fully agree on, is the old saying "men should never hit a woman" or that "real men never hits a women". There are too many possibilities where a woman DOES deserve to get beat by a man. So "never" is just too strong a word for me. When you say "Never" or that there is no reason for a man to hit a woman, you're basically saying this: if a woman did something atrocious to a man( cut his dick off in his sleep, murder his family, orchestrate his daughter getting raped, or selling their young daughter like a prostitute for drug money, etc. etc.), then he still has no right to beat her, let alone hit her. It's also kinda saying that women have the right to walk all over a man, and he should just sit there and take it until someone comes around to "save" him. Women are still human, with a will of their own, so anyone of them can do something so horrible to deserve an ass whoopin' from a man.
So, there are reasons why a man should hit a woman, but a man should show restraint…until that restraint is pulled too thin and snaps. At least give a woman a couple of serious warnings before losing said restraint.
