Every time Rep.Joe Walsh discusses abortion, I wish he was aborted.

I’m all for agreeing to disagree when the other person has something to say where even a modest amount of merit can be found. But when Illinois Republican; joe Walsh, speaks….. I just… just….. ok it’s not that I want him dead it’s just kind of like…the fact that he is alive, annoys me.

This is what Joe walsh had to say regarding abortion exceptions in order to save the mother’s life…

Republican Rep. Joe Walsh, running against Democratic challenger Tammy Duckworth in Illinois, told reporters Thursday night that there should be no abortion exception for the “life of the mother” because “with modern technology and science, you can’t find one instance” in which a woman would actually die, according to a radio station. Walsh, of course, is flat wrong.

“There is no such exception as life of the mother, and as far as health of the mother, same thing,” Walsh continued. The comments were first reported by the Illinoisradio station WGN.

“There is no such exception as life of the mother, and as far as health of the mother, same thing, with advances in science and technology,” Walsh said, according to the video above. CREDO super PAC, which is opposing Walsh, tipped HuffPost to the comments.

Walsh’s remarks echo Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), who similarly relied on an ignorance of science and medicine to proclaim a belief that women’s bodies are able to prevent pregnancy in cases of “legitimate rape.”

“If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let’s assume maybe that didn’t work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist,” Akin said, setting off a firestorm before the Republican National Convention, including calls for him to resign from the race. Akin now trails his Senate race against Democrat Claire McCaskill.

GOP establishment figures attempted to cast Akin as a lone extremist whose views are outside the mainstream of the party. But Walsh’s fresh comments make that distinction more difficult to maintain.

Walsh and Akin, along with GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan (Wis.) cosponsored legislation that would have redefined rape as “forcible rape.”

Walsh previously defended Akin during what he called a “pile on” in comments reported by HuffPost partner Elmhurst Patch.

“What he said was offensive, insulting and wrong, but I’m bothered by this rush to pile on,” Walsh said. “And I’m bothered by the silence of members of our own party to stand up for him.”

Walsh wouldn’t have to go far to find a counter-example that undermines his medical theory. Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) has spoken movingly on the House floor about needing an emergency procedure to terminate a pregnancy that threatened her life.

There could be several medical reasons for a woman to need to terminate her pregnancy in order to protect her life or health, but the most common is an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies, or pregnancies that occur outside the uterus, are a life-threatening condition that occur in one in every 40 to one in every 100 pregnancies, according to the National Institutes of Health. The developing fetus must be removed in those cases in order to save the mother. [source]

I’m not saying… but I’m just saying that: I know people shouldn’t determine their political affiliation due to any  singular issue per se, but…. but…. I sincerely fail to understand how anyone without a penis, would want these guys and this party in control of anything.

As a man… i just don’t see how we as men think we should be able to legislate what goes on with a vagina that we aren’t partnered in the slightest.

But that is just me.

When you are this ignorant on the issue, you shouldn’t be allowed to have any say on the issue.

Is this the dead-beat dad? In any case, I really wish these idiots would STFU about issues they cannot begin to understand – like women's reproductive health.

If it's a legitimate rape certainly there won't be any side effects. It's those "fake" rapes that you have to worry about.

    FUGUGUGUUGUGUGUGUGUGUGUGUGUGUUGUGUGGUGUGUGU the stupidity is unbearable.

How the fugg are we still a 1st world country with all these archaic ass zombie worshipers in control of our country? Why, why, why must we continue to look the other way while mufuggas talk to themselves, conclude that their conscious is actually a grand being talking to them, then try to control the entire population based on those thoughts?

It's a book people. There are literally MILLIONS of them. And in each one there are ideas. Why must that ONE book be held as fact? We hold Santa to a higher standard of evidence than we do the characters in that book. And what is the result?

We get these fuggnuts, Using their religion as an excuse for denying human beings basic rights.
Gay marriage – yeah you can thank religion.
    Women's rights – yup… religion
    Slavery – you guessed it..
    Male privilege? …
Dumbing down our science classes? And on and on and on……

Be mad.. but not at me.. be mad that this ish is still going on in 2 thousand and muthafuggin 12.

  4. People will believe what & how they choose to believe. I've gotten beyond wanting to call someone out because of their "religious" beliefs. Where I take issue….and I do mean a HUGE FRACKING ISSUE…is when fvcktards like the ones mentioned in this story insist on forcing their beliefs on the population at large. SIT DOWN & SHUTTHEFUCKUP!!!

These are the same Mensa candidates who whine about religious persecution and their religious rights being under attack but yet in the same breath want to dictate my behaviors/rights according to "their" religious beliefs. Maaan, fvck you and that outdated book you've got your head so deeply buried within that you cant see the forest for the trees.

The reason I have an issue with the people with the religious beliefs is because if they weren't able to vote, this fvcking tool wouldn't have an audience to pander to. It's the ignorance of religious followers that continue to keep us in the dark ages in a lot of areas.

I'm in a discussion on a local news forum about gay marriage and the ignorance is almost overwhelming. When we completely separate religion and politics, I'll stop being a dick. But as long as they continue to dictate our laws based on THEIR religious text, I'll take issue with them.

**And as a side note, I understand a lot of people here, at the very least, consider themselves spiritual. Great – speak out against your ignorant brethren on these issues. Stop standing idly by while your fellow christians encourage and support fuggnuts like (R) Joe Walsh and (R) Rick Santorum and (R) Sarah Palin and etc etc etc all starting with (R)'s.

      • It is always always ALWAYS the extreme nuts of any group that garners the most attention and casts the entire group in a bad light, be they Muslims (Taliban, Al Queda), Mormans (Mittens), Christians (aforementioned dingbats). It is the "moderates" in these groups who, like you've stated, don't speak out and stand up, that allow them to flourish.

So yeah, agreed. Al you "Christians" out there….your "brethren" should be kept in the back room out of sight where you keep crazy Uncle Charlie.

Really, this is the root of what needs to be said.

i seriously need to get a non-profit going when it comes to basic human biology and anatomy. while it's true that we're in an advanced technological age, no man made machine can still be 100% accurate when it comes to the human body. it hurts even worse to find out that this chingon has children…

I'm to the point now where I think politicians should either all be atheists or there must be equal representation of all major religions and an atheist elected in each district.

These douchenuggets can't seem to separate church and state if their life depended on it, and that's the only way people are going to get a fair shot of equal representation.

  7. Let's see, had I not gotten my emergency surgery, I would have DIED!!! I laid up for 4hrs in extreme pain, before I called 911…I couldn't walk, my shoulders were stuck in a hunched position (blood traveling up my spine) and was sweating so bad, my gown was soaked…so, Rep. Walk, here' s a middle finger to you…and knowing you RepubliKKKans, you like it right up your ass…

Sir…sir…sir…I need you to sit the hell on down, watch some episodes of Bill Nye and the Magic School Bus and get some science about you. Who the hell is the woman who reproduced with him because I have QUESTIONS!
