After the disappointing Iron Man 2, I thought the Marvel movie franchise was heading to the toilet. But then came the Avengers which was everything awesome that a brainless superhero movie should be. Awwwwesomeness, bytch! It was awwwwwwesome.
But now, here comes the third edition to the Iron Man franchise and…. even though i don’t know what it’s about exactly?? Daaaaaaaamn it looks action packed.
Gone is the wise-cracking Tony Stark the oozing confident Tony Stark. Now see a very damaged, frightened and terrorised hero.
Can’t wait to see how Robert Downey Jr pulls this off.

I'm a huge fan of the entire Marvel Comics franchise. This is already going on the calendar to remind me to by tickets to the midnight viewing.
You know there's prob gonna be a marathon of IM1, IM2, Avengers then IM3 at midnight.
Yeah but I have a job and taking the day off just to see movies that I already have on DVD is too much for me.

I just came to chime in that the awesomeness of The Avengers cannot be overstated. First time in a long time that I've walked out of a movie theater and thought to myself, "I could watch that again. Like, RIGHT NOW!"

The thing that made Iron Man 2 so ultimately forgettable was that it's villain was wasted. True it was supposed to be a movie about Tony Stark's character growing up — which directly sets the table for the Avengers — but when all that was said and done he basically shot the bad guy and then movie over.
As a result, I was sorta un-excited at first for a new movie that looked like more of the same.
But that trailer's got me interested again. Man does this look good.
Alright leaving Lurkinstein to make a comment. U know as much as I would like to Support this movie and be Excited I cannot. One of the biggest Reasons is the Casting of the Mandarin is pure Racist.
There is a History in Hollywood of casting Asians as White People despite everything indicating otherwise (Jubuliee in that god awful Generation Next Movie, Last Airbender Anyone ??) and nothing indicates how you could think a character named the mofuggin Mandarin who goes around wearing Chinese Clothing and uses Dragons to fight and @#$% is anything but Asian Especially since in the comics he's clearly presented as Asian.
I don't buy this "Reinterpreting the Character" Bullcrap especially since all the other Villains were kept White (Justin Hammer was changed to American but that character is all types o Fuggery that makes my inner fanboy just sad.) And how does keeping the character Asian interfere in how he's interpreted ?
