The Final Debate – your thoughts?

Last night was the end of the Debate battles between President Obama and Gov Shitt Romney and the focus was to be on Foreign policy.

-foto from the Huffingtonpost

From what the pundits and everyone cept for Fox news fans had to say, The President clearly won the debate not just with points, but on clear decisive confidence and command of the situation. Though it still goes to be seen what will come of all this, as foreign policy is generally the last thing on American’s minds until some ish goes wrong. The economy and all issues domestic is what will tip the scales in either direction in my opinion, and that race seems to be a realllllllly tight battle between the two.

What say YOU though? What were your favorite debate moments?

I like how Bob Sheiffer was like You ain't 'bout that life. Try me if ya want. Y'all ain't finna punk me lest you wanna get got.

Having only seen pieces of all three debates, it seems to me that (at least on CNN), they seem to be going out of their way to find ways to credit Mittens over Obama. IDK if it's the general disconnect of how a black man is 'supposed' to act or what, but it seems that when Romney is talking over people & kinda snide, he's feisty, but Obama is condescending and rude…

Maybe those of you who've actually watched them all can let me know; because I never saw Obama get nearly to the level of Biden or even Mittens…well, except that Navy crack *iHollered*

    • True…. but Obama was throwing some SHADE at Mitts. Even my melanin-challenged beau was like "damn if Obama looked at me like that I'd run and hide"

    • Fadematic says:

Horses and bayonets was the winning line of the night, the moment that slipped out the memes flew faster than binders full of women.

    • Hey Damelo,

Let us just say MittBot was going on about Mali – like it was some country in the middle east we was all supposed to watch out for. Brah don't know the forest for the trees when it comes to foreign policy.

Any major news outlet is whitecentric news and that Robme slant you feeling? They just can't help themselves. Is why one of the main reasons why I don't watch the news, any news and I cut that damn tv cable cord.

      • Agent00DivaCee says:

Oh don't forget that despite having quite a large coast and not even sharing a border, Syria is Iran's only outlet to the coast.

  3. Oh… and someone needs to make a meme off THAT gif at the top….

  4. I love how Obama was calling Mittens on the carpet for his lying…oh the joys of hearing "let's check the record."

  5. naturallyangelic says:

I think you spelled Mitt wrong. Oh, nevermind, I see what you did there.

I'm done with this whole thing. I watched the whole debate and I watched NBC analysts try to present Romney in an amiacable light as if he was trying to show that he could be calm and cool and still debate. They spoke as if it was a "STRATEGY", when in reality Obama shut him down. He tried to argue back a bunch of times and even got rude with the moderator..AGAIN. Mitt didn't decide to layoff, he HAD to lay down because he had no ground to stand on. And the way the talked about Obama being more aggressive is exactly WHY I didn't want him to go that route, even though he had to. They made it seem as if it was somewhat of a desperate attempt for Obama redemption after being..wait for it……wait for it……CALM AND COOL in the first debate.

  7. originalwharris says:

The horses and bayonets line was the best, but so was the part when Mitt said Syria is Iran's route to the sea. This came out soon after:

  8. The debate itself was kind of a snoozer because Romney just kept running and hiding while Barack kept trying to hit him. Foreign policy is generally considered an Obama strength, so it felt like Mitt just wanted to survive the thing and keep the voters focused on his economic platform instead.

Trouble is, he said all kinds of stupid crap about bombing the rest of the world in the Primaries, and the Prez kept calling him on it again and again. I loved how much command Obama took, and I felt like he did well — but it's hard to tell how much impact this particular debate will have.

My man was getting in some choice cracks though. He did keep it fun.

I did notice Mittens tryna turn the focus on domestic policy with many questions…when he wasn't basically agreeing with Obama.

  9. what debate? rupaul's all star drag race was on last night…

    • Damelo Suave says:

      I'm sure that's what Slaus watched…

    • I watched the Wire, finally after all these years. That was all the political intrigue I could handle for 1 night

    • I watched the debate and then watched All-Stars and All-Stars: Untucked.

Poor Pandora, to be saddled with Mimi. I felt bad. She should have done the lip syncing instead of Mimi, since she was raging to stay longer.

        • Seriously!

Did you watch Untucked? I'm so glad Raven called Mimi out on how she even got on All-Stars in the first place. There were so many others who should have been there. I was hoping Jessica Wild would make it along with the others who did (Raven, Jujubee, Latrice, Manila, Yara, etc.)

          Also, Tammie Brown is insane.

          • ChiArtist76 says:

I love untucked, and Raven spoke the truth. I missed the season that Tammie Brown was on, so this is my first time seeing her crazy ass. Guess I'm in for a treat. BTW- Did they do a tribute message to Sahara Davenport? I thought they were going to stick in a condolences slide or something?

            • I don't have the cable package with LOGO, so I watch it online. I didn't see a tribute to Sahara, so not sure if that edited out of the online version or if they didn't show anything at all. I hope they did something, especially since Manila is part of the all-stars cast.

Tammie was part of season one…and she wasn't on there long. There wasn't "Untucked" for season one, so you didn't get to see much of the personalities beyond the show. She pretty much gave up on the competition during her season, which is why I was somewhat surprised that she returned. Below is a (crappy quality) video of her lip sync for her life.

  10. Mitt looked SICK last night. Mittens was giving an 8th grade current events report and Obama was teaching a Master's Course.

  11. Well Im gonna piss in the Wheaties. Both of them worked my last nerves last night. American policy is what….go kill everyone and take their s**t. Obama pretends to be the peace maker when he is continuing the same Bush bulls**t. Sending drones hovering in places they shouldn't be. Killing folks. Acting like we dont know who and why folks are bombing our people over there. Sending more and more troops over to Africa (my son included) to stir more s**t. This whole notion both these men have that we are somehow entitled and obligated to be "saving" and educating these Muslims and spreading "democracy" abound the MFn world needs to stop. NOW. Leave people the frack alone. dont start none wont be none. Mind your own GOTDAMN business. I am just so….disappointed…and ANGRY.

    • You are also delusional if you think we can just withdraw from the world stage…and everything will work out just fine.Bless your son …and may he come home to you safe and well.

    • ToodySaysHey says:

      preach.

lets not get into the drone strikes killing innocent folk left and right.

      • I'm sorry, but 9/11 killed innocent folk left and right.

Drone strikes aren't pretty, and in a perfect world we wouldn't need them. But if one robot plane means that Bunny's son doesn't have to worry about a bullet in his back, then I say let those things fly.

        • ToodySaysHey says:

thats fine, but if you are fine with children being bombed in the name of "prevention"
          well..

and then we wonder why bunny's son is over there in the first place.

remember abu ghraib prison? yeah, we got alot of good intell from there.

part of the torture involved the raping and sodomizing of children.

but hey, the ends justifies the means.

          • "and then we wonder why bunny's son is over there in the first place. "

YES!! Every action has a reaction!! We need to think about that shyt BEFORE we act.
We are far too willing to initiate war for interests which are not even important, let alone vital. launching moral crusades with someone else’s lives and wealth.

        • ToodySaysHey says:

and btw..how long have we been messing around in the middle east before 9/11?

where would Iran be today if we had not meddled after they democratically elected a secular leader in the 60's?

and then we wonder why they turned reactionary in the 70's..and why its batshyt today.

miss me with the 9/11 b.s.

    • Somokeviante Moisoos says:

The sad part is for the most part they were in agreement on a lot of shyt. They both think Iran is a nuke waiting to go off (even though they don't have nuclear weapon capability). They both support Israel no matter what even though Israel is proving itself to be the biggest bully in the Middle East. They're talking about military spending…when we outspend the next 10 countries COMBINED.

Granted, Obama's at least talking about cutting it a couple percent, but he could cut it in half and we'd still have the strongest military in the world.

I'm with Bunny, when it comes to other countries, fvck BOTH of them. They're singing the same song in different octaves.

  12. Obama was Anderson Silva last night…Romney looked like the sparring partner who forgot to bring his pads.
Thing is,if the polls say it's "too close to call"…well lets just say Obama needs to find a coupla' million votes from somewhere for a return trip.

  13. Shyt aint working now. Has not BEEN working. Its whats gotten us in the mess were in now. WE are not the world stage…not center star as much as we seem to want to be. We cannot not go chasing every Abu and Salam and backing and ARMING this crew and that crew and invading…sorry…setting up an American "Presence". It is not our right, responsibility, or obligation nor should it be.
