As those of us here in the States prepare to sit back for a day of reflection, fun, family, friends, relaxing and or reflection, It’s hard not to look back on the year thus far – or life in general, and think upon what you are thankful for.
Me, I’m personally thankful that each and every one of you take time out of your day to come here and enjoy yourselves at OHN. Something we laugh, sometimes we fight and sometimes we cry…..sometimes we get lucky and we get to see boobies, but all in all, many of us have come here and grown so much this year. Hell, we’ve helped each other a lot! Many of you have made big life changes like walking down the aisle and others of you have gotten the courage to leave relationships which weren’t as healthy as they should be. Some of you have been blessed with new members to your family and still others of us have suffered with the tragic loss of losing loved ones. Hell, many of you helped me out more than you will ever know when I lost my father to cancer at the beginning of 2012- which was but three years after I had just lost my mother. You gave me pep talks, many of you let me vent and bawl like a baby and others of you just helped in ways YOU might have thought were insignificant but were HUGE to me!
Man we have been through MUCH in 2012 and I think we have all become stronger for it.
For that I am extremely thankful!
Hell, I’m also thankful as all hell that a few of you convinced me to stop being unnecessarily bourgeois when it came to looking for a pet and instead discovered the awesomeness of animal shelters where my family and I found our newest member; Ms Pinky-PieSlaus.
With all of it’s ups and downs that we have endured individually and as a group, I want to sincerely thank you all for everything!
So from me, to you, and from the entire OHN staff, Thank you and may you have a happy Thanksgiving.
Or as our Native American OHNawlians call it, ” We should have let them starve day”.
